A Dream Move : From Essex to Sussex
At GB Liners, we often have the pleasure of seeing our clients move into their “forever homes”, their ideal space that reflects their lifestyle and their long term goals. That was certainly the case for this client, whose recent move took them from their rental property in the city of Colchester in Essex to their dream home in the idyllic town of Crowborough in East Sussex, which they have recently purchased.
Despite entering an exciting time, moving can often be stressful for those involved. However, with support from their local GB Liners branch, our client was swiftly and efficiently supported with their new start in their new home.
Moving Day Arrives
For this move, our client was assisted by GB Liners team members from both our London branch and our colleagues in Brighton. In preparation for the move, packing materials were supplied in advance for our client to pack their home contents safely ready to transport.
Access at the rental property was restricted, meaning our larger delivery vans could not get close enough to our client’s former home to load items. To get around this, we used a method called transhipping. Transhipping involves loading goods into a smaller van, which can then ferry the items to our larger removals vehicle ready to be delivered to the new house in Sussex.
Whilst our packing services were not required, our London and Brighton removals teams did provide support at both ends of the move, including dismantling and resembling key items of furniture such as desks, tables, bookcases, and beds. We were also able to safely move an iron-framed upright piano, using our specialist equipment.
With our client safely in their new home, we wished them all the best for the future and a lifetime of happiness in their dream house!
