For our recent client, this combination of services proved to be the perfect solution to meet the requirements for their next move. A married couple living in the picturesque village of Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, their home move would take them to Penarth in South Wales, where the husband grew up. As part of the move, our Cheltenham moving team were required to collect the couple’s belongings from Charlton Kings, take them into storage at our Hereford branch, before finally delivering most of the items to South Wales – with a small quantity being taken to France via our European removals services!
The Moving Process
As part of our domestic moving services, GB Liners were on hand to help provide a part-packing solution. Whilst our clients carried out most of the packing process themselves, with packing materials supplied by GB Liners, we were able to help on the day with the packing of pictures and clothes to ensure a safe move.
Once the items were ready to go, our Cheltenham team were able to load belongings into the storage containers at the property. Packing belongings directly into storage at the point of origin, and taking the containers to our facility, avoids items being handled multiple times, therefore reducing the risk of accidental damage and providing our clients with peace of mind, as they get to see exactly how everything is packed and stored.
Once packed, the storage containers were taken to our Hereford branch, where they remained safe and sound until the time came to deliver to Pernarth, a town just outside of Cardiff on the coast of South Wales. Additionally, a smaller number of items were collected from Cheltenham for delivery to the South of France on a part-load basis.
The Outcome of the Move
During the removals, storage, and delivery process, all went according to plan, with no additional adjustments needed in order to make the move a success. Our clients were delighted with the hard work and efficiency of the GB Liners team, who, true to form, put their expertise to good use in ensuring a positive, stress-free experience.
