Sarah Simpson, our Import Manager, reports that the Venus walk went really well on Saturday. Sarah, her daughter Emily and a former GB Liners’ International Department colleague and friend, Sara Dines, walked the 10K in 1hr 40 mins. A wonderful achievement.
Four Years Supporting St Michaels Hospice
This is the fourth year Sarah and Emily have completed this walk in memory of Sarah’s younger sister, Sandy, who was looked after by the Hospice following a short battle with bowel cancer. This was the sixteenth year of the Venus walk for St Michaels Hospice, and a special year as it’s also commemorating 40 years of St Michaels Hospice providing such important and appreciated care to the Hereford community.
The photo with the bear was taken in the city centre and not far from the finish line they stopped for a picture with the GB Liners sign!
Sarah, Emily and Sara wish to thank all who sponsored their walk. They have raised over £200 for the Hospice.
